I Hired a Dating Coach and Had a Major Breakthrough, Chile!
I found out I was "too accessible" and learned how my dad factored into my dating.
Honeys, let’s talk dating.
I know, I know—it’s a struggle. Let’s unpack it. Because, I’m here to tell you right now…you’re not alone.
On Episode 13 of IT’S GOOD OVER HERE, I sat down—solo dolo—to open up about my personal adventures in dating.
While I won’t name the dating coach here, just know they’re amazing. I won’t lie—they kinda dragged me… in the best way. Through this program, you get to sit down and unpack those things you usually avoid with several dating coaches in private sessions or you can sit in group sessions with other women. The latter is a game changer—though it seems bleak, there’s some special kind of comfort when you realize you’re not navigating this barren dating desert alone.
I live in LA and I’m sure you’ve heard it before that it’s extra special trying to find your partner in this palm tree jungle. I have my reasons and one of them has to do with me working in Hollywood. LA is a career-driven city—people typically move here in pursuit of their careers, so they naturally prioritize that over everything else. Even at the expense of finding someone compatible, despite coveting that.
Sure, I dabbled in dating apps like the next person… but it was clear I needed a little extra help with my dating journey, in order to take it to the next level.
And chiiiiile, we got deep. I realized a few things about myself, and…
“I realized I am too convenient. I am too accessible.”
Plus, the coaching sessions sort of served as a supplement to my therapy—I unpacked how my complicated relationship with my dad factored into how I approached dating. Whew, it’s a doozy. 😮💨
And that’s just the beginning. For the full story, listen to the latest episode of IT’S GOOD OVER HERE now!
